1931 Presentation of Villa Antinori Bianco

In 1931 Niccolò Antinori presents Villa Antinori Bianco, produced from traditional Trebbiano grapes; since that date, the label has remained virtually the same, as has the production philosophy and the red wine of the same name, both based on a Tuscan character and personality and on the search for excellence.

1932 Carlotta Della Gherardesca weds Niccolò Antinori

Carlotta Della Gherardesca weds Niccolò Antinori, receiving as a dowry the land and the buildings which will eventually  be given the name of Tenuta Guado al Tasso, in the splendid area of Bolgheri. The Antinori family, ever since, has dedicated itself to the viticulture of the zone, much has changed in the world of oenology, and Bolgheri has become a reference point for viticulture on an international level.

1936 Gino Bartali wins il Giro D'Italia

Gino Bartali, a Florentine cyclist and among the most beloved athletes of the entire country, takes the lead and manages to maintain it for thirteen stages up until Milan, winning his first Giro d’Italia.
